If you think that something or someone is magnificent, you mean that they are extremely good, beautiful, or impressive. This week’s useful phrase is:

“Oh, how magnificent! I love it!”

What do you think this could be talking about? The person could be describing a view – for example, from a hotel or house balcony. It might be a present they have just received – a ring, or handbag, for example. It could be describing a painting – either on a house wall, or at an art gallery.

Last week, I went for my first run for almost a year. It was magnificent! And, I saw some sunflowers in a garden that were taller than me! They were magnificent! Is there anything in your life right now that you’d describe as magnificent?
