This week’s useful phrase is, “Finding my lifework has increased my happiness.” I thought that I had found my lifework as an English teacher, but then I realized that I actually only like to teach Japanese students – I feel more of a connection with Japanese students than I do with other Asian cultures or Europeans for example. I have no idea why, but it’s just how I feel!

So, my lifework might actually be “teaching Japanese people” rather than “teaching English” … what a strange thing that is! I will have to think more deeply about this idea!
