Fulfilling is quite similar to satisfied. If something is fulfilling, you feel happy and satisfied with it or with what you have achieved. So you might talk about a fulfilling life, or a fulfilling career, for example.

Trying to find work-life balance is a lot easier if your career is fulfilling, right? Since we spend quite a lot of our hours at work, it would be a shame for them not to be fulfilling! But, I do know that a lot of people are fine with a job that isn’t fulfilling, but pays enough for them to have a fulfilling lifestyle during non-work hours.
