Is knitting a popular hobby in Japan? My mother was always knitting when I was growing up. All of my jumpers (Australian word for sweaters!) were knitted by her! These days, I don’t know many people who say that knitting is their hobby but I must admit that recently it is making a comeback!

In particular, a few of my friends have recently started to crochet scarves and blankets! Crocheting is a little different from knitting (apparently! I don’t really know!) but it is in the same genre of knitting, and requires wool, and a lot of time!
